Service providers

AdventurePDF uses third-party providers to operate the service, including hosting and infrastructure, database storage, authentication, transactional email, PDF rendering, mapping data, payment processing, analytics, and customer support tooling. We only share the information each provider needs for their specific role, and we require all providers to protect your data in accordance with appropriate confidentiality and data-processing obligations. We do not sell your personal information.

Guide exports and visibility

  • Your trips and guides are private by default. We do not make them publicly accessible without your explicit action.
  • When you export a guide to PDF, that file is yours. It may contain trip names, stop details, dates, notes, and maps you entered. You control where it is stored and shared.
  • When you create a share link, anyone with that link can view the latest read-only version of the trip until you stop sharing it. Creating or disabling the link is always an explicit action.

Data retention

  • We retain your account and trip data for as long as your account is active. If you request deletion, we will remove your personal data within 30 days, subject to the exceptions below.
  • We may retain billing and transaction records for up to 7 years as required for tax, legal, and accounting purposes.
  • Aggregated, anonymized usage data that cannot identify you may be retained indefinitely for product analytics.

Cookies and analytics

  • We use essential cookies for authentication, session management, and security. These are required for AdventurePDF to function and cannot be opted out of while using the service.
  • We may use analytics tools to understand how features are used. Where required by law, we obtain consent before enabling non-essential tracking.
  • You can manage or clear cookies through your browser settings. Disabling essential cookies will prevent sign-in.

Security

We use HTTPS encryption for all data in transit, encryption at rest for sensitive stored data, access controls, and least-privilege principles for admin and infrastructure access. Sensitive operations are logged in our audit system. No online service can guarantee absolute security. If you believe your account has been compromised, please contact us immediately.
